After School Special is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization who's goal is to help teens reach their full potential in life. We achieve this goal by teaching teens life skills while focusing on self-love, compassion, finding one's passion, and social skills. With the advancement of technology, these skills are slowly declining along with mental health issues among teens rising. We strive to restore these values one teen at a time.

Ian Parks is a military veteran who has served five years in the United States Air Force. While fighting for his country, Ian jumped into the Information Technology field becoming a system administrator. He's currently a software engineer at IBM, but makes time to work with teenagers within his community. Ian has worked with The Boys and Girl’s Club, Habitat for Humanity, Big Brothers Big Sisters along with several other non-profit organizations involved with youth development. With 18+ years experience working with Teenagers in the community, Ian has started his own non-profit organization l, After School Special, to continue to serve teenagers who want to reach their full potential in life.
